A winter weather advisory has been issued for the northern half of Connecticut ahead of a wintry mix arriving on Tuesday.
After a cold day on Monday, Tuesday will be cloudy and chilly in the morning. Snow will develop in the afternoon, up to two inches of accumulation is expected.

Precipitation will change to freezing rain and rain by the evening. Some icing is expected in northern Connecticut, and that could lead to some travel challenges.
The precipitation will change to rain overnight and continue into Wednesday with possibly up to an inch of rain.
All of this should clear by Wednesday.
