“American Idol” has promised the biggest Hollywood Week cuts in “Idol” history, culling the herd of hopefuls from 127 to 30 in two installments that started last week with “Hollywood Week in Music City — Part 1.”
“Part 2” airs on Monday, March 2.
And as the title would suggest, it isn’t taking place in Hollywood. Having staged its 2026 auditions at Belmont University in Nashville, the show is staying on in Music City for “Hollywood Week.”
Two Arizona “Idol” hopefuls — Kitty Taye and Lanii — won golden tickets from the judges. Now, we get to see how long they last.
2026 judges ‘American Idol’
The judges for Season 24 of “American Idol” are Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan and Carrie Underwood, who joined the cast in 2025 when Katy Perry signed off after seven seasons.
Before signing on as a judge, Underwood won Season 4 and went on to enjoy one of the most successful post-“Idol” careers of any former winner — right up there with Kelly Clarkson.

In addition to airing in Arizona on ABC 15, “American Idol” Season 24 will be available to stream the following day on Hulu.
