Rising tensions and other investigations
Several buildings in Toronto have been shot at since the US-Israeli operation against Iran began on 28 February.
Three separate Jewish synagogues in the city were hit by bullets in the past week. A Toronto boxing gym in the city which is owned by an Iranian-Canadian critic of the Iranian government was also struck by gunfire last Monday. No one was injured in those incidents.
Police have not arrested any suspects and have not confirmed if the attacks are connected.
Meanwhile, police in Oslo, Norway are investigating an explosion outside the US Embassy in Oslo that happened on Sunday.
Officials are searching for a suspect who may have placed an improvised device in what could be a possible act of terrorism. The explosion caused minor damage to the building but no one was injured.
Authorities say they are also looking into a possible link to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East involving the United States. The US Department of State is also investigating the incident.
The developments come amid fears of attacks targeting Americans and Jewish organizations by Iranian proxy groups.
