Savannah Chrisley is stepping in to host “The View” on ABC this week.
The former “Chrisley Knows Best” star is filling in for cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin, who welcomed her first child on Feb. 10. Cohost Whoopi Goldberg, on the Feb. 11 episode of “The View,” had announced Griffin, 36, and her husband Justin Griffin welcomed a baby boy, Justin Patrick Griffin Jr., adding that “both mom and baby are doing well.”
ABC had previously announced several guest hosts will fill in to host the show as the former White House strategic communications director steps away from “The View” for maternity leave. Other hosts of “The View” include Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro.
Here’s what to know about when Chrisley will be hosting and how to watch.

The internet reacts to Savannah Chrisley on ‘The View’
Chrisley’s appearance on “The View” invited backlash from audiences, who took to social media to express their thoughts.
Commenters also bombarded “The View’s” posts featuring Chrisley on Instagram, with many commenting they will be skipping this week’s episodes.
Chrisley said hosting ‘The View’ is out of her ‘comfort zone’
Chrisley, sharing the news of her hosting gig on the Dec. 23, 2025 episode of her “Unlocked” podcast, said she decided to do the show because she likes “doing things that challenge me, [and] I like doing things that educate me.”
“I’m totally going outside of my comfort zone by doing ‘The View’,” Chrisley said in December. “I mean, this is a show that … these personalities have bashed my family, have bashed me. These are the same women who made a comment to the extent of, ‘Wonder what she had to do for those pardons.'”
Chrisley’s parents and reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley were convicted of conspiring to defraud community banks, defraud the IRS and commit tax evasion. The couple, who documented their family life on USA Network reality shows between 2014 and 2023, had been in prison since January 2023, for using fraudulent loans to defraud community banks in Georgia.
However, they were granted a full pardon by President Donald Trump in May 2025, who said the celebrity couple was “given a pretty harsh treatment based on what I’m hearing.”

After the couple received presidential pardons, several of “The View” hosts had criticized the decision.
“According to this administration, if you are a reality star with a lot of money, and a tax cheat, and you commit fraud, then that’s good. We’re going to give you a pardon,” Behar had said during a May 2025 broadcast, while Navarro remarked it was “not ethical.”

Who else will be hosting ‘The View’?
Other guest cohosts will include Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Abby Huntsman, Sheryl Underwood, Amanda Carpenter and Whitney Cummings. The dates for each of the guest appearances have yet to be announced.
Hasselbeck and Huntsman are no strangers to “The View” roundtable. Hasselbeck, a former “Survivor” contestant, was a cohost on “The View” from 2003 to 2013. After her firing, she was a cohost on “Fox & Friends” for two years.
Huntsman, a journalist and the daughter of former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr., was on the show’s panel for two years until leaving in 2020. She later said she felt pressure to be controversial on the show, which led to her quitting.
Another familiar face to the daytime talk scene, Underwood, a comedian and actress, was previously a host on CBS’ “The Talk” from 2011 until its end in 2024.
Carpenter, a political commentator, previously appeared as a guest on “The View” in 2021. Cummings, a comedian and actress, has been on the show several times over the years.
“The View” has also not yet announced when Griffin will return for her hosting duties.
