4 things to know about the weather:
- Severe weather threat over
- Rain to wet snow Thursday with dramatic temperature drop
- Seasonable weekend
- 40s for highs next week
The severe weather threat is over for D.C. for Wednesday night.
After another day of record highs in the mid-80s, wind chills will be in the 20s and 30s tomorrow.

A cold front will bring rain showers to the area for the Thursday morning commute, with snow possibly mixing in into the afternoon hours.
Any snow will just be conversational with surface temperatures too warm for any accumulation.
However, temperatures will fall dramatically between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. from the 50s into the 30s and 40s.
Winds will gust to 40mph, putting wind chills in the 20s and 30s.
Friday temperatures will be seasonable, in the mid-50s, but winds will still gust to 40 mph.
For the weekend, breezy winds on Saturday will finally subside on Sunday, but there will be more clouds.
Another cold front will move through next Monday, dropping highs into the 40s Tuesday and Wednesday.
Our average high is in the mid-50s, and with the record warmth these last few days, the cherry blossoms have finally reached Stage 1.
