Natalie Nunn Denies Romantic Relationship With Shaquille O’Neal Despite Claims He Bought Her A $21,000 Car

Reality TV icon Natalie Nunn, known for her time on Oxygen’s “Bad Girls Club” and the UK’s “Celebrity Big Brother,” has set the internet ablaze after claiming NBA star Shaquille O’Neal bought her first car while she was in college at USC. Speaking with NFL quarterback Cam Newton on his podcast, “Funky Friday,” Nunn later stunned the former athlete by pressing him for allegedly displaying a holier-than-thou attitude during their interview.

Natalie Nunn Claims Shaq Purchased Her First Car When She Was In College

Nunn, 41, has made a name for herself since becoming the breakout star of “Bad Girls Club” season 4, which aired on the Oxygen network in 2009. Since then, Nunn has become one of the most recognizable reality stars of all time, appearing on “Marriage Boot Camp” before creating her own series on the Zeus Network, “Baddies.”

Speaking with Newton on his viral podcast, “Funky Friday,” Nunn, a mother of one, shared a revelation that not only left the former Carolina Panthers star stunned, but also the entire online community. “Shaq bought me my first car,” Nunn said, later clarifying that although the Los Angeles Lakers icon allegedly purchased her vehicle, they were never in a romantic relationship. “I never dated Shaq.”

Natalie Nunn Says Her First Vehicle Was A Convertible Bug

Continuing, Nunn said she connected with Shaq during her time at the University of Southern California. “I was at USC. He bought me a bug, a brand new convertible bug,” she said. “I was in college and he played for the Lakers.” While Shaq hasn’t confirmed whether Nunn’s claims are true, if they are, a brand new 2004 Volkswagen bug would’ve cost the basketball player a whopping $21,000.

Online, social media users flooded the comments with reactions to Nunn’s claims, with one implying they actually believed the reality TV star. “Shaq is always gifting people and doing nice things in the community,” they wrote. “I believe her.”

Others seemingly agreed, as one user wrote, “Shaq does donate to the youth often though so it’s not too far fetched,” while another added, “Shaq has bought a lot of people cars with no strings attached.”

Meanwhile, some users were incensed by Nunn’s statements, as one questioned why she brought the story to light. “[Shaq] looked out for you and this how you repay him?” they asked. Another user clearly agreed, writing, “What was the reason you shared that?”

Nunn Presses Newton During Interview, Claims The Athlete Was Very ‘Snooty’

That’s not all that happened during Nunn’s recent appearance on “Funky Friday.” At another point in the episode, Nunn paused the interview to tell Newton that she didn’t feel welcome on his set. “Can I tell you how I feel right now?” she asked. “You’re like very snooty.” She continued, “You’re giving like, yeah, you’re very snooty.”

Elsewhere, Nunn appeared to leave Newton dumbfounded when she pivoted and asked the athlete about his performance in Super Bowl 50, during which he fumbled the ball on a critical play that helped seal the Denver Broncos’ win.

“You fumbled?” she asked. “Cam, they always said you were the best. How you drop the ball, n-gga?” She went on, “Like, how you drop the ball? You’ve been doing this too long. It doesn’t make sense. It’s a repetitive thing as an athlete. Fumbled? You dropped the ball?”

Nunn Opens Up About Being A Businesswoman

In another interview, Nunn discussed her hectic schedule as a mom, wife, and executive producer of Zeus’ “Baddies” series. “I always tell these girls [Baddies], you need to have seven different things that you do to make money if you want to be a millionaire,” she said, according to Forbes. “Seven different ways that you make money. I have many things that I’m involved in.”

As she continued, Nunn gave more advice to those hoping to take their careers to the next level, saying they need to take control of their daily routines. “You’ve got to manage your time the best way possible,” she said. “I always get to the airport early. Know what time to get glammed up, know how far away your destination is and give yourself 20 extra minutes. It’s not that hard.”
