
New Jersey school districts have called for closures and delayed openings on Tuesday as snow was predicted for a northern swath of the Garden State.
The National Weather Service is predicting 1 to 2 inches of snow across most of northern New Jersey, with some pockets of 3 or 4 inches in areas north of Interstate 80.
Snow is expected to begin late Monday night, around midnight, across northern areas and spread south after daybreak Tuesday.
