América is searching for its eighth title in this competition, and qualified as 2024 Apertura champion in Liga MX.
It’s been a mixed start to the Clausura for Las Águilas, who have one win, two draws and a loss in four matches so far.
These two teams will return to Mexico City for the second leg on Feb. 11. The winner of this series will face either the Philadelphia Union or Defence Force in the round of 16.
