For their ninth consecutive year, the dynamic duo will host what is now a NYE staple: CNN’sNew Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen. During the live broadcast, the Emmy Award–winning pair will “reflect on their favorite moments from the past eight years and preview what’s in store this year.” The co-hosts are set to be joined by a number of guests, including Stephen Colbert, and, much to the delight of viewers, will once again be allowed to drink on-air, Parade has confirmed.

CNN’s New Year’s Eve programming will for the first time stream exclusively on CNN’s new streaming subscription platform, available to subscribers at CNN.com/AllAccess, and on CNN’s mobile app and connected TV apps on Smart TVs. Pay TV subscribers will also be able stream Andy and Anderson by logging in with their Pay TV credentials.

Yes! CNN has confirmed to Parade that Andy and Anderson will be allowed to drink on-air this New Year’s Eve. During the 2023 broadcast, the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host said, “We have been here for seven years doing this and for most of those years-“Are you asking about alcohol?” Anderson interjected.

Andy continued, “Well, at the top of the hour, we typically have a toast. And I feel that- I’m hearing from a lot of people, and I guess I’m just wondering, does daddy get his juice?”

“Can daddy get his juice responsibly?” Anderson asked, to which Andy replied, “Of course, always.”

CNN’s Sara Sidner, and Cari Champion will take the reins starting at 12:30 a.m. ET from Auditorium Shores in Austin, Texas. They will count down to the New Year as the Central Time Zone welcomes 2026. The CNN broadcast will feature performances by Vince Gill and The Head and The Heart, as well as interviews with Flavor Flav and Ariana Madix.
