GTA 5’s Michael actor Ned Luke says his swatter has been convicted and will be sentenced soon

GTA 5 voice actor Ned Luke has shared an update on the swatting incident that cut short one of his GTA Online streams in 2023, saying the person responsible has since been convicted and is now awaiting sentencing.

Luke, who voices Michael De Santa in Grand Theft Auto 5, streams regularly and has long been active with the GTA community across social media.

In November 2023, Luke ended a Thanksgiving Day stream after receiving a phone call and telling viewers he had been swatted. Swatting involves a false report made to law enforcement in an attempt to trigger an armed police response at someone’s home.

Now, Luke has posted what appears to be a letter tied to the case from the U.S. Department of Justice’s Victim Notification System, alongside a pointed message to those involved.

Ned Luke shares letter ahead of sentencing hearing

In a post on Instagram, Luke shared an image of a letter dated December 10, 2025, stating he was identified by law enforcement as a victim or potential victim during an investigation connected to a federal criminal case.

The letter says a sentencing hearing for the defendant has been set for January 27, 2026, at 10:00 AM in Washington, DC. It adds that Luke is welcome to attend the proceeding, but that his attendance is not required unless he has received a subpoena.

Luke captioned the post: “F*** around and find out. Many more names discovered and provided.”

The document also notes that a U.S. Probation Officer may prepare a report for the court and could contact Luke to discuss the impact of the crime.

In the original 2023 incident, Luke later reassured fans that he was safe and pushed back on speculation attempting to blame Rockstar.
