Short Film: “No Strangers”
The short film “No Strangers” is seeking Latino or Hispanic male talent, aged 30–50, who is fluent in Spanish, for a principal role. The story is about a pair of deserters from the Mexican-American War in the 19th century. Talent will play Manuel, an expert survivalist and strict moralist who is driven by his own sense of justice rather than the law. Shooting is this February in Phoenix, Arizona. Pay is $250 for a 12-hour shoot, plus gas.

Join the cast of the Sundance-supported feature film “1972.” The story is set in NYC in 1972, and follows a Cuban exile facing her defiant daughter and fears of never returning to her homeland. The production wants Black female talent, aged 18–25, to play the whip-smart and ambitious Darla, who aspires to be an astronaut. Shooting is May 5–20 in Los Angeles, California. Pay is $250 per day.

The short film “Blue Girls Showroom” wants a trans woman, aged 24–40, for a principal role. The story is about a woman with an addiction and a doting boyfriend. A pilot for a new series needs talent. The psychological thriller is about five strangers lured to an isolated cabin, each connected to a tragic death they tried to forget. The production wants male talent, aged 24 and up, to play a visionary activist turned recluse. Shooting is for 3–4 days, from late Jan. to mid-Feb., in East Texas.
