In Wednesday’s victory over the Nuggets, Jalen Brunson led the way for the Knicks as he recorded 42 points, eight rebounds and nine assists while Karl-Anthony Towns added 24 points and 12 rebounds of his own.
Now New York will try to extend their winning streak to nine games on Friday as they face off against the Pistons in a tough road matchup.
On the other side, Detroit enters Friday’s contest with a 37-13 record after losing at home to the Washington Wizards on Thursday night.

Cade Cunningham led the way for the Pistons in Wednesday’s loss as he ended the game with 30 points, eight rebounds and eight assists while Duncan Robinson recorded 21 points and two assists.
While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Friday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

For the Knicks, they have five players listed on their injury report, including both Towns and OG Anunoby.

New York has listed Towns as doubtful due to a right eye laceration and he is expected to miss his first game since January 2.
With Towns likely to be sidelined, Mitchell Robinson and Ariel Hukporti could both be in line for increased roles.
The Knicks have listed Anunoby as questionable due to right toe soreness and he is in danger of missing his first game since December 23.

If Anunoby is sidelined, Landry Shamet and Jordan Clarkson could both have larger roles against the Pistons.

Josh Hart has been listed as probable due to a left ankle sprain and he is expected to return after missing Wednesday’s game.
Miles McBride has been ruled out as he is set to undergo surgery for a core muscle injury while Jose Alvarado is out due to him not being with the team after the Knicks acquired him from the New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday.

On the other side, the Pistons have three players listed on their injury report, including both Jalen Duren and Tobias Harris.

Detroit has listed Duren as questionable due to right knee soreness that caused him to Exit Thursday’s victory over the Wizards early.
If Duren is sidelined, Isaiah Stewart, Paul Reed and Ron Holland II could all be in line for increased roles.

The Pistons have listed Harris as probable due to left hip soreness and he is expected to return after missing Thursday’s game.
Duncan Robinson has also been listed as probable and he is expected to play despite dealing with a left quad contusion.
