MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Entergy, the utility company, has announced $5 billion in customer savings across the Mid-South.
On Friday, Entergy announced approximately $5 billion in total savings for 2.3 million customers across Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi due to data center customer agreements.
According to Entergy, more than 2 million customers in Arkansas, Mississippi, and Louisiana will see benefits over the next two decades
This announcement came nearly two years after the company completed its first agreement in Mississippi in 2024 and just weeks after action on its latest agreement in Arkansas in December.
Entergy Mississippi announced over $2 billion in customer savings, including lower rates during power plant replacements. The company is increasing grid investments to reduce outages at no extra cost, funded by power sale revenues.
Entergy Arkansas announced up to $1.7 billion in customer savings from new Google and Avaio data centers. Google will build a 600-megawatt solar and 350-megawatt battery facility to diversify its power, benefiting all customers.
