This summer, country music fans can mix their “Tennessee Whiskey” with their “Watermelon Moonshine.”
Chris Stapleton is returning to Ford Field this year as part of his All-American Roadshow, and he’ll be joined by country superstar Lainey Wilson. The pair will perform at the home of the Detroit Lions on Aug. 8, promoters announced Thursday; it was Ford Field’s second concert announcement of the day, following the earlier news that Bruno Mars will perform at the venue May 9.
Tickets for the show go on sale via Ticketmaster at 10 a.m. Jan. 16, with pre-sales for Citi card holders, Verizon customers and members of Stapleton’s fan club starting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
The concert is one of nine stadium stops on Stapleton’s 24-city campaign, along with venues in Nashville, Atlanta, Charlotte, Tampa and Boston, among others. (See full dates below.) “Consider Me” singer Allen Stone will also perform at the show.
Both Stapleton and Wilson are performing return engagements at Ford Field: Stapleton shared a bill with George Strait at the downtown stadium in July 2024, and Wilson performed at the Lions’ home in April 2023, opening for Luke Combs.
Stapleton, whose most recent album is 2023’s “Higher,” has performed at both Detroit sports stadiums; he also headlined Comerica Park in July 2022.
Along with Mars, Stapleton joins previously announced 2026 Ford Field stops from Foo Fighters (Aug. 6) and Ed Sheeran (Aug. 29).
