BTS fans only need to wait a little more than two months before the South Korean boy band officially returns. The seven members of the vocal troupe reunited in 2025 after they finished their mandatory military service, which is required of all men in the Asian nation by a certain age. A vague promise of new music in the coming year was shared weeks ago, and recently, the label behind BTS announced that a new album is set to drop on March 20. For now, additional details are being withheld, including the title of the project, whether any music will be shared ahead of the full-length drop, and dates for an upcoming world tour, which will be revealed later in January.
As a way to celebrate the upcoming BTS comeback and show their love for the septet, fans of the K-pop group recently returned to a song titled “Run BTS,” and they have collectively turned it into another No. 1 for the outfit.

“Run BTS” needed several years and a total of 10 weeks before it finally climbed to No. 1 on the World Digital Song Sales chart. The cut launched on the list in June 2022, and since then, it has remained a fan favorite, but until now, it was held back from ruling. “Run BTS” reaches the summit as it celebrates double-digit frames on the tally.
BTS Keeps Proof Alive Thanks to “Run BTS”
“Run BTS” was originally featured on the group’s anthology Proof, which dropped in the summer of 2022. The full-length added to the band’s list of No. 1s on the Billboard 200, and it is still present on the World Albums chart to this day. Likely thanks in part to the surprise current success of “Run BTS,” Proof, the only BTS title found on the World Albums tally, improves ever so slightly this week, stepping up from No. 10 to No. 9, 186 frames into its tenure on the roster.
“Run BTS” Followed “Yet to Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)” on the Hot 100
While never pushed as a single, fans have always adored “Run BTS,” and it was quickly chosen as a favorite from Proof. When the anthology opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, “Run BTS” launched at No. 73 on the Hot 100, where it managed just one frame. Lead single “Yet to Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)” nearly added to the group’s collection of top 10 smashes on the Hot 100, though it missed out on that tier by just a few spaces, peaking at No. 13.
