Bruno Mars Breaks Live Nation Single-Day Ticket Sales Record With 2.1 Million Tickets Sold

Topline

Popstar Bruno Mars’ “The Romantic Tour” sold 2.1 million tickets on Thursday, the largest single-day ticket sales volume across North America, Europe, and the UK in Live Nation’s history, according to ticket sales figures shared with Forbes.

Key Facts

Mars also set a new Ticketmaster record for the most tickets sold in a single day, according to Live Nation.

The star has since added 32 new shows to The Romantic Tour due to overwhelming demand.

The tour will kick off in April and span 70 shows in stadiums across North America, Europe, and the U.K., with special guests including DJ Pee .Wee, Victoria Monét, RAYE and Leon Thomas.

“The Romantic” album, which is set to debut next month, marks the star’s first solo album in a decade.

Big Number

20.2 million. That’s the number of impressions Mars’ post announcing the new album has garnered on X as of Thursday evening. The announcement, which was posted last Monday, simply read “My album is done.”

Forbes Valuation

The 40-year-old Hawaiian pop icon sang about raking in 10 figures and gracing the cover of Forbes in his hit song “Billionaire” more than 15 years ago. Forbes estimates that Mars took home about $31 million before taxes in 2025, thanks largely to his residency at Park MGM in Las Vegas. That earned him the No. 22 spot on last year’s Forbes Highest-Paid Musicians list, placing him in the company of acts like Sabrina Carpenter and country superstar Morgan Wallen.

Key Background

Mars has not mounted a full headline tour since the 24K Magic World Tour in 2016. He announced The Romantic Tour last Thursday. The album is set to be released Feb. 27.
