Snow causes highway closures at Snoqualmie Pass, SR 410, SR 18

Snow is causing treacherous driving conditions on mountain passes and in the Cascade foothills Friday morning.

Around 7 a.m., westbound Interstate 90 closed at Easton due to crashes. At 8:15 a.m., eastbound I-90 closed 20 miles west of the summit near North Bend due to multiple spinouts and crashes, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).

Both directions of State Route 410 are closed at Mud Mountain Road due to snow on the highway near Greenwater. There are also fallen trees in the area.

People should anticipate delays in the surrounding area. As of 7 a.m., WSDOT snow plow crews were on the way.

There is no estimated time when SR 410 will reopen. WSDOT said travelers should seek alternate routes.

Eastbound State Route 18 is also closed from the Issaquah Hobart Road to the I-90 interchange, where multiple semi trucks are stuck, according to Washington State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson.
