Dale Warner jury reaches verdict in murder trial

Adrian — A jury has reached a verdict in the murder trial of a prominent Tecumseh farmer accused of killing his wife and hiding her body in a resealed fertilizer tank.

The Lenawee County jury will reveal its verdict early Tuesday evening following several days of deliberations in the five-week trial of Dale Warner.

Warner, 58, was charged with killing his wife of 15 years, Dee Warner, and concealing her body in a fertilizer tank on the couple’s property. He faced the possibility of life in prison if convicted.

The case centered on the disappearance of Dee Warner, 52, in April 2021. Her body was discovered in August 2024 inside a resealed and repainted fertilizer tank in a storage building on the Warners’ property in Tipton, several miles from their farm near Tecumseh.
