A fire at Los Dos Potrillos in Littleton was contained safely with no injuries reported, said West Metro Fire Rescue.
LITTLETON, Colo. — A Littleton Mexican restaurant will be temporarily closed after a fire on Tuesday.
West Metro Fire Rescue said it responded to a fire at Los Dos Potrillos, at West San Juan Way and South Kipling Parkway, just before noon Tuesday.
West Metro Fire Rescue said multiple callers to 911 reported flames visible from the roof. Firefighters arrived to find the fire had started in the kitchen and traveled through the hood ventilation system, pushing heat and flames upward.
Crews, working alongside the building’s automatic sprinkler system, quickly brought the fire under control, the fire department said. Damage was contained to the kitchen area, though smoke and water impacted the remainder of the restaurant.
West Metro Fire Rescue said all patrons and employees were evacuated safely and there were no injuries.
“The Littleton restaurant will remain temporarily closed as we complete repairs and ensure everything is fully ready to welcome guests back,” Los Dos Potrillos said. “We will share updates as we receive them and look forward to reopening as soon as possible.”
