LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KY3/KAIT) – Another Arkansas Powerball player won a big jackpot.
A ticket in Arkansas matched the Powerball numbers on Monday night, winning an estimated jackpot of $251 millon. The cash value is $118 million. The winning numbers were 2, 17, 18, 38, 62, and 20, and the Power Play was 2X.
The identity of the winner or where the ticket was bought has not been released.
The March win comes just months after a historic Arkansas-sold ticket ended the year with one of the biggest prizes in U.S. lottery history. A single Powerball ticket matched all six numbers to win the $1.82 billion jackpot drawing held on Christmas Eve. It was the second-largest lottery jackpot ever won in the United States. The only higher jackpot was a $2.04 billion Powerball jackpot won in California in November 2022.
The Powerball jackpot has now reset to its starting amount of $20 million ahead of Wednesday’s drawing. Powerball tickets cost $2 per play and are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million, according to the lottery.
