Scarlett Johansson Rocks Plunging Knit LBD and $400,000 Worth of Jewelry

Scarlett Johansson gave the classic LBD some loud luxury sparkle while sharing a rare glimpse of her getting ready routine on February 26. In a video shared on her Outset Instagram account, the skincare maven could be seen in full glam while rocking her multi-watt 11-carat brown diamond engagement ring from husband Colin Jost.

Johansson made a brief appearance in the video, applying the brand’s rescue balm to smooth flyaways on her sleek ballerina bun. Gazing at her reflection in the mirror while perfecting her look, the Jurassic Park Rebirth actress could be seen wearing a sleeveless black knit dress with a black leather belt cinching in her waist and a plunging neckline. Johansson’s LBD framed two layered necklaces including a longer one with a large coin-inspired pendant and a shorter choker with initials on it. However, Johansson’s engagement ring—the approximately $400,000 one-of-a-kind sparkler that Jost gave her when he proposed in 2019—took center stage. As she adjusted her hair, she flashed the unique light brown stone. 

The Marvel star kept the rest of her glam minimal, showing off her glowing complexion with bronzer-sculpted cheekbones, champagne highlighter, and a light pink matte lipstick. 

Johansson’s pear-shaped ring, which is set on a black ceramic curve band, stands out even amongst the A-list crowd—and the Lost in Translation alum unsurprisingly had a moment of panic when she thought she accidentally threw it away.

While hosting an episode of Pop Culture Jeopardy last February, Jost revealed that he “looked through 12 dumpsters of trash” in an attempt to get the ring back. While his dumpster diving was in vain, Johansson had a surprise waiting for her husband when he got back. “I went back to the house and she said, ‘Oops! It was in my pocket,'” he joked. “It was a great day for me.”
