Peter Mandelson, the former UK ambassador to the United States, has been arrested in London over his links to the late convicted sex trafficker, Jeffrey Epstein. London’s Metropolitan Police said that “a 72-year-old man” was arrested on suspicion of misconduct.

Three separate email exchanges between Reinaldo Avila da Silva and Jeffrey Epstein have surfaced in the Epstein files recently released by the US Department of Justice. The first exchange dates back to September 17, 2009, and concerns Epstein sending da Silva money for the osteopathy course.
Then, in April 2010, da Silva sent Epstein details of his bank account for payment of another £13,000. Financial Times reported that subsequent emails show that Epstein asked his accountant to pay da Silva £2000 per month.
Then, records show that in March 2011, Peter Mandelson, then running Global Counsel, emailed Epstein about a tax-minimization plan involving a Panama offshore linked to a Brazilian firm managed by da Silva.
