Virginia Tech: PG Ben Hammond is second on the team in scoring (12.7), but has led the team during ACC play (15.3). He is shooting 42.5 percent from 3 on the season and has made 7 of 10 over the lsat two games, averaging 17.5 points per game.
Miami: PF Malike Reneau, who is averaging 20.1 points per game, is coming off his 15th 20-point game of the season, scoring 26 on 12-of-19 shooting against NC State. Reneau is in the mix for an All-ACC First Team selection as he has scored in double figures every game and has had at least 14 in all but one.
