Snow has already started to blanket parts of northern Nevada as a strong winter storm hits the area leading several schools and districts to cancel in-person classes Tuesday, Feb. 17.
The following schools and districts are impacted:
- All Washoe County Schools including Incline Village
- Carson City School District – All schools closed. No activities or services will take place.
- Storey County School District – All schools closed due to predicted heavy snow and dangerous road conditions.
- Bishop Manogue Catholic High School – Campus closed for in-person learning; students will participate in virtual learning.
- Pinecrest Academy is closed
- Mater Academy is closed
- Kids Life Child Development Center is closed
- Pyramid Lake JR/SR High School is closed
- UNR- non-essential campus operations and in-person classes are suspended
- Coral Academy of Science has closed all five of campuses
- Sunflower Preschool is closed
- Newton North Nevada is closed
- All TMCC campus locations, including the Child Care Center, are closed. Classes and services will operate remotely.
