From the halls of Bailey Middle School to the biggest stage in the NFL, Drake and Ann Michael Maye have seen it all together.
Now, all eyes are on the young couple as Drake Maye suits up for the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX.
The team, with Drake Maye as quarterback, is looking to defeat the Seattle Seahawks to earn a seventh Super Bowl title on Sunday, Feb. 8.
As the Pats mounted an unlikely turnaround from last season’s 4-13 finish to this year’s championship run, off the field, Drake Maye’s personal life shifted, too. In June 2025, he married Ann Michael Maye (then Hudson), his middle school sweetheart.
In the months since, 22-year-old Ann Michael Maye has been propelled into a stardom of her own.

Pats lovers have embraced the newlywed, with some even declaring their adoration on t-shirts and others dubbing her the “queen of the north.”

Ann Michael Maye was born Ann Michael Hudson on Aug. 11, 2003.
The eldest of three, Ann Michael has a younger sister, 19-year-old Khaki, and brother, 21-year-old Tad, a quarterback at Coastal Carolina University.
While attending Hough High School in Cornelius, North Carolina, Ann Michael Maye was a four-year athlete, playing softball, field hockey, basketball and cheerleading. As a senior, she received the 2020-21 Julia Brown Female Athlete of the Year Award, which is given annually to the school’s top female athlete, The Taunton Daily Gazette, part of the USA TODAY Network, reported.
Ann Michael Maye went on to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she studied business administration, according to her LinkedIn. There, Ann Michael also served as a member and later the vice president of finance for the Kappa Delta sorority.
Since marrying Drake Maye, Ann Michael has grown her social media presence to more than 500,000 followers on TikTok and 470,000 on Instagram.
In December 2025, her TikTok page exploded in popularity thanks to her “Bakemas” series, in which she posted a video making a baked good each day leading up to Christmas.
It led to other Patriots members indulging in the sweet treats, cameos from Drake Maye and left tackle Will Campbell and even a series with NBC Sports Boston dubbed “Beyond Bakemas.”
Drake, Ann Michael Maye are middle school sweethearts
Drake and Ann Michael Maye met while attending Bailey Middle School in Cornelius, North Carolina. They have been together since Oct. 30, 2015, when Drake was 13 years old and Ann Michael was 12.
They both went on to attend Hough High School, but Drake Maye transferred to Myers Park High School in Charlotte after his freshman year.
Though Ann Michael is a year younger than her now-husband, the pair attended UNC together for three years before Drake was drafted into the NFL in 2024. Ann Michael graduated from Chapel Hill in May 2025.
The couple announced their engagement in January 2025 and were married on June 21, 2025.
During interviews ahead of the Super Bowl, Drake Maye gushed over his wife’s longtime support.
“To see our journey together, starting in middle school and her watching my middle school football games playing quarterback to now getting a chance to watch me in the Super Bowl, I wouldn’t rather do with anybody else,” Drake Maye said.
