10 adults, 5 kids displaced after apartment fire in Hartford

HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) – Crews battled a second-alarm fire at an apartment building in Hartford on Saturday afternoon.

The fire department said the fire was near 166 Bond Street at a three-story, six-family apartment building.

Five families were displaced, including 10 adults and five children.

Crews said there was heavy fire throughout all three floors of the building.

A second-alarm was called to help provide further resources due to the size of the fire and the frigid weather conditions, according to the fire department.

There were no injuries to resident or firefighters, however one dog was killed.

The Red Cross was called to help residents who were displaced.

No further information was released.
